Art direction and layout design for the most prestigious design university in Hungary. Every year, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design publishes the MOME Folder, in which the most important works of the previous year's students are presented. The yearbook is created by a different designer each year. I had the honor of making the 20/22 edition.
I combined the classic use of grids and the desire to break the rules. I used pretty narrow margins and put some intentional mistakes in the design. The typeface is the GT Haptik grotesque font, the letter R of which I used in the alternative version throughout the magazine. The magenta color printed all over the pages gives a vibrant effect to the minimalist design. The cover graphics were created by Anikó Fodor. The cover concept was the flower motif as a symbol of reawakening, of opening up to each other and the world after the pandemic. The technique selected for the execution is linocut. The peculiarities of the technique are further highlighted by numbering 1/600, which is how the serial number of a copy appears on limited edition linocuts. It is also a gesture towards the readers, making each of them the first and number one.
